Lot 2067: Antiquity to modern times: rustic attic find of coins and medals from all over the world in several containers, together in an old wooden box (with lock and fittings). Lots of silver coins from different periods up to the size of a double thaler (Golden Wedding of Johann von Sachsen 1872). Many old German states, old Europe and overseas with partly better pieces, we saw Brunswick Thaler 1755 IWS, German East Africa 1 Rupee 1901, marksman medals around 1900, pieces from Russia, Hong Kong, China, also two modern silver ounces Australia, but most before 1900. Furthermore also rolled gold (approx. 8 g), coins of base metals, medals, some banknotes etc. All in very different condition, partly tonings, patina, handles, but the material value alone is considerable.
